Cashel is a wonderfully quiet and clean lake. There are only
approximately 35 cottages on the lake with a majority of the land
surrounding the lake being Crown Land. This makes for an
enjoyable and quiet cottage time during the summer, and gives you the ability to
enjoy water sports safely with children.

The view from the cottage balcony is gorgeous ~ creating a
relaxing environment for all family and friends. (see picture)

The cottage frontage is gently sloping to the water where
there is a deck with several Adirondack chairs and a large over-sized dock. Our
cottage property is situated directly on the lake, on a 1 acre private lot
surrounded by tall pines for privacy.
The cottage itself has 2 bedrooms ~ the master has a large
new queen bed and the 2nd bedroom has a new double / single bunk. The
cottage also has a new bunkie that we added in 2008 which is just
outside the back of the main cottage and is connected by a back deck. The
new bunkie has a double bed and a single/single bunk bed with a small
kitchenette (mini fridge, micro, coffee maker) area as well as a
3 piece bathroom with shower/ toilet / sink. This guest bunkie
allows you to share your cottage experience with friends and/or family
members and still be able to enjoy your own private areas. The bunkie also has it's own BBQ.

The main cottage has a large screened in room overlooking the
lake which offers an eating and sitting area. This screened-in room is
a great option on balmy summer evenings, and the room of choice for family
board and card games and for family meals.

The main cottage has a fridge and stove and the 3-piece
bathroom has a shower. The deck of the cottage offers a large patio set
with 6 chairs and a BBQ.

The cottage is in a great area for exploring. Bancroft is
just 35 minutes to the north for supermarkets, craft shops and
restaurants; or take a meandering country road to Egan Chute Provincial Park and picnic
by the falls. To the west is Coe Hill, Chandos Lake and a little further
on to Silent Lake Provincial Park.

Cashel Lake was rated as one of the cleanest lakes in
Ontario, and the
bottom of the lake is sandy / limestone. The front of the cottage
is free of weeds and is ideal for swimming. There is a large new dock this year, which makes it easy to swim and fish !
The lake also boasts plenty
of fish (bass / lake trout) for those interested in fishing. Lots of rock
bass off
the dock for the kiddies, but the lake has deep spots of up to 120
feet deep for avid fishermen /women to seek out those prize trophies.
